HEB UPDATE
Latest word is that, as of right now, there is no set date for HEB breaking ground. They will have
a ground breaking ceremony as the process moves forward, but no details yet. The City has been great (and patient) keeping us informed. As soon as they get word, we'll spread it.
In the meantime, for those who are Wimberley way, if you have not been to the newly refurbished Brookshire Bros, they have done an impressive job. The store is clean and bright and well-organized. They've put in a seafood and meat counter and they carry local Dripping products like Bella Verdi Farms microgreens. They also have a pretty darn good cheese selection (we needed Gruyere for a recipe last weekend, and they had it — recipe disaster averted!).

I was curious and contacted HEB Customer Relations - they said they don't see plans for the HEB through the end of this year.

Not to get anyone's hope up. But a little birdy told me ground breaking sometime in Nov. with a May 2010 opening.
