PAWS DOG OF THE WEEK: IT'S A PUMBA!
Who you calling funny looking? This terrier mix is getting cuter and cuter everyday! Pumba was carelessly dumped at PAWS one night, and clearly had been treated pretty badly for a a long time. She had a serious case of mange which turned into a very bad skin infection that caused her to lose most of her fur. While she was initially terrified of everything and everyone around her, time heals and fur grows, and now she loves playing and being petted by the PAWS staff. She would love to find a secure and loving home with another dog to play with because she doesn't like to be alone. If you think you could find it in your heart to give a goofy looking girl like Pumba a chance, you won't be sorry! To learn more about Pumba and the other wonderful dogs (and cats) for adoption, visit pawsshelter.org or call PAWS Tuesday through Sunday at 512-268-1611or visit the shelter on Tuesdays from 11:00AM - 6:00PM, Wednesday -Sunday from 11:00AM-5:00PM.The current shelter is located at 500 FM150 East in Kyle.
Babble founders have a merry menagerie of rescued dogs, including a couple of darlings from PAWS Animal Shelter, a no-kill shelter. Currently located in Kyle, PAWS is building a new, larger shelter in Dripping Springs because, unfortunately, the homeless animal population continues to grow. We want to help spread the word about the special, smart, and loving dogs and cats now available for adoption.

Thank you.

Thanks for sharing these important tips and a not-so-neurotic worry. It wasn't as dry as this when we had to work on our well one summer and realized I had to change my city ways. Now, thanks to you, I've got a few new ways of coping with the drought. And Marianne's bright pretty produce to look forward to as well!
