DRIPPING BUSINESS: TAI CHI, THE OLE SWITCHEROO, AND HEB (WE HAVE NO IDEA)

When this Babbler lived in San Francisco, a favorite sight was people encircling city parks moving in the graceful, measured motion of Tai Chi, pushing against the morning mist as the sun began to rise. Just recently, several of us were talking about the possibility of Tai Chi here in Dripping and, like a dragon rising from the sea , we received an email this week from Ross Henderson announcing he will begin teaching Tai Chi classes at ASB Karate's studio (by the Dragonfly school on 290). The first class is this upcoming Saturday. For more information, including rates  and more information about this slow and gentle martial art for people of all ages and physical conditions, click here or call Ross at (512) 497-4857.

If you haven't already noticed, Grand Slam Pizza is closed, but just until August when they move down a few doors (closer to The Big Drip) and Dripping Springs Pharmacy will then move into the old Grand Slam location.

We've stopped counting how many emails we've received as to when HEB will break ground (and/or when will they open). If they're playing hard to get, it's working. Interest is at a feverish pitch. We wish we had the definitive answer, but we don't. We've checked with the City and they don't know. As we understand it, everything is approved on the City's side. We emailed the HEB Public Affairs Director and received no response
. If anyone has some sway with the HEB powers that be, give us the scoop!
