DRIPPING THURSDAY

If you're curious about American Sign Language (ASL), expert signer Lisa Crawford presents "Deaf Culture Awareness and ASL for Adults" at 5:30PM at the Dripping Springs Community Library. Young people, teachers, businesspeople, and friends have an excellent opportunity to learn valuable ASL communication skills. The library is located at 501 Sportsplex. For more information call (512) 858-7825 or visit dscl.org.

From 6:00PM-9:00PM it's an Independence Day Celebration at Rolling in Thyme & Dough with
Deviled Eggs, Corn on the Cob with roasted garlic and herb butter, Tomato Mozzarella Salad with Basil in a Balsamic Vinaigrette, Roasted Brisket with homemade BBQ sauce* served with potato salad & coleslaw, Roasted Tempeh with homemade BBQ sauce served with potato salad & coleslaw, Vegetable Lasagna made with a variety of fresh local vegetables and greens, Quiche (Vegetable or Meat) served with side salad, Green Side Salad, Herb Rolls, and a variety of decadent desserts including Red, White and Blue Shortcake. Thyme & Dough uses organic vegetables picked fresh from Onion Creek Farm, Bella Verdi Farms and Harley Clark Farms, all here in Dripping. In addition to dinner, Thursday evenings offer live music — last week there was a jam session at the end of the night that was a thrill. Sitting in Bloom's lovely garden, eating fantastic food and listening to local music is a weekly treat. Thank you T&D.

*An inside source test-tasted the homemade BBQ sauce and describes it as "holy moly awesome!".
