DRIPPING WEEKEND
Twin Sister Dance Hall's monthly shindig is this
Saturday, June 6, from 9:00PM - 1:00AM. For those in need of a little Drip Tripping, historic Twin Sisters Dance Hall is located 30 minutes from Dripping, 7
miles south of Blanco on Highway 281, on the east side — you will see a beacon flashing light
and sign. The hall is down the drive. The entry is $6, the band this month is Brad Hughes & Buckshot, and, as many find, dancing in the hall is "worth every penny". Read our original Drip Trip to Twin Sisters Dance Hall post here.
On Sunday, inspire the artist within as Community Creative Alliance presents "Walk, Sit, Create". Meet other artistically inclined from 3:00PM - 6:00PM at Spring Bluff Center Courtyard (400 Hwy 290 West) with your medium, materials, cooler, and chair. Group with other participants or go alone. Art materials are provided for the ones without, or for those wanting to explore another medium. Suggested mediums include pencils, pens, paints, clay, collage and photography. Walk to your inspiration, sit, and create your artistic vision of Dripping Springs. Some images may be selected for an exhibit at the new county office. Participants will reconvene in July to celebrate your creations. This event is for amateur and artist alike, ages 10 to 100. For more event Information, contact: Mara Cardwell at mara.cardwell@zeecon.com.
