ONION CREEK FARM STAND ON FRIDAY AND A "FOOD FIGHT" ON SUNDAY

Marianne will have a farm stand at Onion Creek Farm on Friday! Due to the heat, alas, lettuce, spinach and kale, carrots are no more, and beets and chard not much longer. But hold onto your baskets farm stand shoppers because green beans, more potato varieties, and serrano chiles are coming soon. In the meantime, here's the full rundown of certified organic produce that will be for sale from 3:00PM - 6:00PM:

Red Thumb Fingerling Potatoes (fresh dug)

And Red Barn Beef (ground beef in 1 lb frozen packages)

Onion Creek Farm is located in Dripping Springs at 1611 Creek Road. Take County Road 190 (aka Creek Road) or take Roger Hanks Parkway south of Hwy 290 to Onion Creek, cross carefully on one-lane bridge, pausing for oncoming traffic. Take left at first drive. Look for "Onion Creek Farm" sign.

On Sunday, the Bountiful Sprout, a co-op of local farmers and producers from Dripping, Wimberley, and surrounding areas are holding their Taste of Spring at 2:00PM at the Wimberley Community Center (14068 RR 12). This promises to be a  golden opportunity to meet  local growers and producers, sample their wares and see the premier of Food Fight, the new documentary by Chris Taylor on the birth of America's organic and sustainable agriculture movement.
