DRIPPING THURSDAY: GETTING "FIREWISE" AND A REALLY LOCAL MEXICAN FIESTA
On Thursday, the Dripping Springs Community Library hosts a "Firewise" Chat with Jan Fulkerson, a
Texas Forest Service specialist, who will share vital information on "firewise"
landscaping and site design. Did you know that 85% of recent wildfires in Texas have
occurred within two miles of a community. In the Dripping Springs area, most
homeowners live in the Wildland Urban Interface, a place where subdivisions and
businesses meet the surrounding forests and fields. Get "firewise" at this free, informative library chat starting at 5:30PM. For more information call (512) 858-7825.
