DRIPPING FOOD: HERITAGE GALA WRAP-UP

Just a quick note about the Heritage Gala on Friday night at the Dr. Pound Pioneer Farmstead. Holy moly. From the legendary fiddling of Grammy award-winner Johnny Gimble (!) to the insane spread of food and beer and wine tasting, this year's Heritage Gala was a doozy. We still can't believe the collection of musical and culinary talent brought together under that tent. Thanks to the across the board, fantastic food one of us split our skirt (although we're laying special blame at the feet of La Tavola by Chef Will Packwood and his "Roasted" Lamb Tartare with Black Truffle Formaggio, Olive Oil Cracker and Bella Verdi Farms Micro Arugula which we could not stop eating). The local beer, wine, and food producers, representatives, chefs, and restaurants were beyond gracious even in the face of, oh, about 200% humidity. Many thanks to the hard-working Heritage Gala committee members for such a festive evening.
