Before Founders Day festivities start on Friday, and after the procrastinators among us survived Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday offers a poetic interlude. The open mic event tonight starts at 7:00PM at New Life Lutheran Church (120 Frog Pond Lane) and welcomes poets, storytellers, songwriters, and musicians.

Rolling in Thyme & Dough is doing Crawfish Boil as one of their dinner choices tonight.! Fabienne had asked for those interested to call ahead so she knows how many to expect. Not sure if it's too late, but if you're a sucker for crawfish and a crawfish sucker call (512) 894-0001. And even if it is too late for Crawfish Boil one of our personal favorites, Vegetable Lasagna, is on the menu (Update: they'll also be serving Chicken Cordon Bleu). It's just fun up there on Thursday nights. The good times start at 6:00PM.

For those wanting to get a jump on Founders Day Festival Friday, pre-sale carnival tickets are available for purchase now from Print Plus, Super S, Cattleman's, Cedar Valley Grocery, Wells Fargo, and City Hall.
