STRAY DONKEY UPDATE

Update on the stray donkey posting from earlier this week. Shelley Winston, of Westcreek Stables, reports that the stray donkey found running eastbound in the fast lane of Highway 290 has found a permanent home. During his time with Shelley at her farm on Creek Road,  he captured hearts with his sweet disposition and gentle nature. Shelley thanks Mr. David Buckholtz for dropping everything and bringing his horse trailer to rescue the donkey off the side of the road, and her neighbor Mr. White for providing a pen while a permanent place was sought (she hopes "the late night braying didn't keep you up to often"). The donkey will be gelded this week by Dr. Winston of Village Vet Hospital in Bee Caves and then off to his new home in Elgin with Carol Simsak, a former resident of Dripping Springs.
