FARMSTEAD FUN: OLD FASHIONED EASTER EGGS

The Dr. Pound Pioneer Farmstead has a cute and fun Easter-time event planned. On Saturday, April 4, from Noon - 2:00PM, kids can create beautiful, old-fashioned Easter eggs with natural dyes and decorations made from herbs, vegetables, and plant material. The history of the Easter egg will be explored and and a game played with eggs is on the goodtime schedule. The event is for kids ages 6 to 12 years, accompanied by an adult. Cost is just $5 per child, but enrollment is limited so please register early by calling Lauren at (512) 858-2251.

After the eggsellent fun, the farmstead invites you to stay for a tour of the museum from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. If you have never visited the farmstead, it is a must visit for anyone interested in the founding of Dripping Springs or early Texas pioneer life. We truly have a historical gem right here in Dripping Springs. If you can't make it for this event, make a point of visiting the farmstead soon. A couple of us visited it recently and were astonished at the treasure trove of history.
