DRIPPING THURSDAY: HUNGRY AND THIRSTY
If you haven't done Rolling in Thyme & Dough on a Thursday night, you are missing a treat. In addition to entertaining professional bands and singers, you might be surprised to see your parents' realtor pick up a guitar and do some serious picking. Fabienne and Marsha continue to outdo themselves with some fabulous new dish every week. Tonight promises Brie and Spinach Chicken with Risotto, Pasta with Feta and Spinach, and Vegetable Lasagna, plus Quiche, Savory Torte, Soup, and Sweets. Thyme & Dough is open 6:00PM - 9:00PM on Thursday nights.
At 7:00PM, Dave Parsons, a finalist for the 2009/2010 State Poet Laureate awards, as named by the Texas Commission on the Arts, will appear at Thirsty Thursday at New Life Lutheran Church, 120 Frog Pond Lane (3 miles east of RR12 on Highway 290). Parsons is the award winning author of Editing Sky and Color of Mourning. He holds a Masters in Creative Writing from the University of Houston, where he studied with such poetry greats as Edward Hirsch, Robert Pinsky, and the late Howard Moss.
