DRIPPING FUN: SCULPTURE CHALLENGE WRAP-UP

Sculptures by local artist and poet laureate of Dripping Springs, Doyle Fellers.
If you didn't make it out to the Sculpture Challenge at Carved Stone on Saturday, you missed a rocking good time! The art being created in these hills continues to impress and amaze. Each sculpture on display was unique and impressive in its own right. Winners announced and photos coming soon on sculpturechallenge.com (our personal favorite took home first prize in our hearts). We had our first taste of Nong's Thai food (much more on on our new Dripping food obsession later this week), and chatted with Tammy of The Big Drip while making a considerable dent in her supply of Mexican Vanilla. After visiting with the wonderful PAWS volunteers and playing with the sweet and well-behaved dogs ready for adoption, we bought a bag full of natural (and heavenly smelling) Bell Springs Products, and roamed the sculpture-filled grounds. The highlight of the day may have been our relaxing visit with the Hill Country Swings folks. As we swung and enjoyed the breeze, we learned more about how our respective families' lives have been connected and intertwined for a long, long time.

All in all, a great day in Dripping Springs.
