DRIPPING WEEKEND: CASINOS NIGHTS, SCULPTURE DAYS, AND ONE MAN'S JUNK...
On Friday at the Terrace Club, friends of Ingrid Shacklett have organized a fun evening of BBQ, casino night fun (including Texas hold 'em tournament), and live music to help raise money for medical bills incurred by Ingrid during a long series of serious medical problems. Get all the evening's details and latest updates (looks like the Hold 'Em tournament is sold out, but as seats open up buy-ins will be available) and Ingrid's story at ingridshacklett.org.
Saturday is the Sculpture Challenge! Admire the artistic skills of talented sculptors (and help vote on the winner), enjoy all types of art, meet the artists, and listen to live music flow through the Carved Stone garden. Plus, food will be available from Nong! (Thai food) and The Big Drip. Admission is $10 per person. All ticket proceeds benefit PAWS Animal and Humane Shelter. Also, if you purchase one of the sculptures entered into the Sculpture Challenge, 20% will go to PAWS. Learn more at sculpturechallenge.com.
Certain Babble family members are garage sale junkies, others are adamant de-junkers. The Community Garage Sale on Saturday represents the beautiful yin and yang of "one man's junk". From 8:00AM - Noon at DS Elementary School (29400 RR 12) find great bargains on toys, clothes, books, crafts, furnishings, electronics, household goods. Various community booths. Proceeds Benefit DSE PTA and Programs.
