REPORT: HAYS COUNTY ISSUES DISASTER DECLARATION

The Austin Business Journal is reporting that "Hays County Judge Liz Sumter’s office has issued a disaster declaration due to the severe drought that county officials say has had a major economic impact on the county’s agriculture."

Per the declaration (and by taking just a look around), we've received less than half the average rainfall we normally get during the 14 months from January 2008 and March 2009.
