BREAKING: HEB IS COMING TO DRIP - CONFIRMATION DETAILS
On Tuesday afternoon, HEB dropped off their site plan at City Hall. It is now official, they are moving forward with their plans to construct a 63,000 square foot store with 9,600 square feet of retail tenant space next to them on the property that they own on the east side of Rob Shelton Blvd. The plans are available at City Hall should anyone wish to review them or, just for curiosity’s sake, take a gander. The public hearing dates are tentatively scheduled as follows: March 16 for Planning and Zoning Commission and March 26 for City Council, both nights the meetings will start at 6:00PM at City Hall.
The tentative date for breaking ground will be mid-to-late April. Will keep you posted as things develop.
Thanks to the City's Jon Thompson for the update!

That has got to be the absolute best news I have heard in a very long time! Hooray!!

This along with Home Depot and Walgreen's, McD's, and Flores will forever change Dripping in a VERY good way. Now we will have a real town...no more bedroom community!

I was hoping for an HEB Plus, but the grocery store by itself will more than do!

I'm happy for a smaller HEB, not a superstore, quick, easy, run in and run out grocery stores are quickly becoming a thing of the past.

What's happening with the HEB? I haven't seen a ground breaking of any sort.

I just drove up and down 290 W, and I didn't see anything that indicated that an HEB was being built now or in the near future.
