DRIPPING SPRINGS LOCALS PARTICIPATE IN INAUGURATION (THE PICTURES)

Hard to believe the inauguration was just a week ago. As we reported, Dripping Springs residents and owners of local business Star of Texas Liquor & Wine, Tom and Kathy Duck, would be in our nation's capital to participate in many of the events surrounding the inauguration. Tom is a lobbyist for rural water districts in Texas and has an office in Washington with a bird’s eye view of the United States Capitol. The Ducks graciously promised photos and they delivered. Tom's office is on the 9th floor of an office building overlooking the Capitol and they've got shots from the parade, as welll as the inauguration, and the famed Black Tie & Boots Ball, the traditional inaugural event thrown by the Texas State Society of Washington, DC. As a point of interest, Kathy met movie star Denzel Washington at the Black Tie & Boots event and chatted him with briefly about Dripping Springs and Star of Texas Liquor & Wine. Way to work it, Kathy! To see them all, click here. Thank you, Ducks!

Thanks to the Ducks for sharing their photos with those of us who experienced that evening on our sofas.
