About this time last January a Babbler’s property was ravaged by a fast moving grass fire, but thanks to the heroic response of our local firefighters the home was saved. At a recent meeting with Hays County Commissioner Karen Ford, we learned of the availability of emergency response address signs from the County for $3 each. These signs are royal blue with reflective white numbers, making it easier and quicker for emergency responders to locate your property. The form to request the signs with your address is available for download here from the Hays County website. Simply complete and return with payment of $3 per each sign you order.
 
With the ongoing drought conditions and inherent fire risk, this is a simple and inexpensive safety measure to help our local emergency responders on Dripping’s many rural roads.
